Connect device to the LAN using a cable (Figure 8)
The optimum integration of the smartbox in a network is the cabled connection to a router. This
generally ensures higher transmission rates, more safety and greater reliability.
The cabled connection is therefore strongly recommended during the project process.
Connect the smartbox on the RJ45 connection socket (3) to the LAN/router using the en-
closed connection cable. This can take place directly on an RJ45 connection of the router or
on an FCC socket outlet within the LAN.
Always used the enclosed connection cable Cat. 5e or a network cable of the same category
or higher.
Insert enclosed power supply 230 V~/5 V
in the smartbox (4) and connect to a socket
outlet.
The operation LED POWER (6) lights up. The RGB display (1) ashes white while booting
and then goes out. The ONLINE status display (8) lights up white.
