Table 15.1 Automatic setting
Automatic setting function checks all channel signals and displays corresponding
waveforms. Automatic setting determines the trigger source based on the following
criteria.
If multiple channels input signals, choose the low frequency signal channel as the
trigger source.
If no signal is found, choose the lowest-numbered channel displayed as the trigger
source.
If no signal is found and no channel is displayed, the oscilloscope will display the
CH1 channel and take it as the trigger source.
When the automatic setting function is used and the oscilloscope determines that the
signal resembles a sine wave, the oscilloscope will display the following options:
Waveform options
Detailed instructions
Multiple cycles
Display multiple cycles with appropriate vertical and
horizontal scales.
Single cycle
Set the horizontal scale to display a period of the
waveform.
Automatic range
Automatic setting.
Data source
Select the data source: Display the current channel only
or display all channels.
Cancel
Restore the oscilloscope to previous settings.

15.2 Default setting
Click the Utility > Default.
Click Default and the oscilloscope will display waveforms of the 4 channels. The
following table shows settings for options, buttons, and controls under default setting.
