NOTICE
An emergency hand start is not possible if the fuel tank is
empty.
If the fuel tank has been run empty, the fuel system will need to
be bled after being refilled using the electric fuel pump (see
chapter 6.5 Venting the fuel system, page 37).
After bleeding, multiple start attempts with the starter are neces-
sary to start the engine.
Performing tests
Procedure
Step Test
1 The machine is standing securely and on a level surface.
2 The installation location is adequately ventilated.
3 There is a sufficient amount of fuel in the fuel tank (see chapter
7.6 Refueling, page 47).
4 There is a sufficient amount of engine oil in the engine housing
(see chapter 6.4 Filling engine oil (first filling), page 36).
5 Starter rope of the recoil start without chafing.
6 No persons are located in the danger zone of the engine or ma-
chine.
7 All safety equipment is in place.
