8.3 Future expansion
The dedicated edge expansion connector (P5) is intended for modular expansion and future
upgrades. Also see technical section 10 for further details.
Please feel free to feedback what devices and expansions you would like to see connected to the
Multisystem, it may be possible to do an expansion module to allow greater connection capabilities
and functional devices.
Currently the expansion port is planned to allow the following –
• Full JAMMA edge finger connection and CPS kick connection.
• Raspberry Pi ‘cartridge’
• USB expansion – zero delay game controllers (for example DaemonBite compatible)
• Solid state storage / M2 SATA for example
• I/O expansion ports for connection of hardware devices etc.
• Composite video / and or s-video output.

Internal storage and USB peripherals can also be connected to the internal USB port connections –
these may be added in a stack under the 3D printed case or added as a front panel module or as the
2.5” SSD mount bay in enclosure type B (see technical section 10 for further details).
