A spark or flame can cause the battery to
explode with enough force to seriously hurt
you.
The battery gives off explosive hydrogen gas
during normal operation.

Battery charging
If in case your vehicle is not used for more
than a month remove the battery, fully
charge and store in a cool and dry place.
Ensure the battery leads are properly
connected to the battery terminals during
installation.

Remove the right side cover (1) by
removing the screw (2) and pull out lug (3)
from the grommet and slide the cover back.
Always visit your Authorised Hero Moto
Corp workshop if you see any symptom of
battery discharge as earliest as possible to get
the battery charged. The battery has a
tendency to discharge rapidly if additional
electrical accessories are fitted on the vehicle.
If the battery is expected to be stored for
more than two months, ensure to fully
charge the battery once in a month.
Make sure the ignition switch is "OFF".
Always ensure the battery is fully charged
before installation.

Remove the battery clamp bolt (3) and the
battery clamp (4).
Disconnect the (-)ve terminal (5) lead from
the battery first, then disconnect the (+)ve
terminal (6) lead.
Pull out the battery (7) from the battery
box.
