Drain the engine oil thoroughly.
OIL FILTER SCREEN & CENTRIFUGAL
FILTER CLEANING
•
Remove the kick starter pedal (1),
disconnect the clutch cable (2), remove the
muffler (3), remove the rider footrest (4)
and remove the right crankcase cover (5).

CAUTION
!!
•
Running the engine with insufficient oil can
cause serious engine damage.
•
Engine oil is a major factor affecting the
performance and service life of the engine.
Non-detergent, vegetable or castor based
racing oils are not recommended.
•
Running the engine with excessive oil can
cause spark plug fouling & loss in
performance.
•
After checking the oil circulation, install the
tappet inspection cover.
•
Stop the engine and let the engine oil settle
down.
•
Recheck the oil level.
•
Make sure that oil level is at the “UPPER”
level mark of the oil level dipstick with the
vehicle in an upright position and that there
are no oil leaks.

Remove the oil filter screen (6) and wash it
with non flammable or high flash point
solvent (kerosene).
•
Reinstall the filter screen with the sharp
edged side facing inwards.
•
Remove centrifugal filter cover (7) & clean
centrifugal filter (8) with non flammable
high flash point solvent (kerosene).
