8-16 Periodic Maintenance and Adjustment
Check the front brake pads
To inspect front brake pad wear, locate the
wear marks located on the brake pad
assembly scale. If wear is past the last
mark on the caliper assembly the brake
pads will need to be replaced.
① Wear marks
CAUTION:
Remove wheels before checking brake
pads.
Check rear brake pads
To inspect rear brake pad wear, locate the
wear marks located on the brake pad
assembly scale. If the wear marks are not
visible on the caliper assembly the brake
pads will need to be replaced.
Brake pad wear indicators
Check brake fluid level
