The green LED in the button
illuminates. Control indicators
illuminate and most electrical
functions are operable.
Engine Start: depress the brake
pedal and press the Engine Start/
Stop button once. Release the
button after the starting procedure
begins.
Ignition Off: press the Engine Start/
Stop button briey in each mode
or when engine is running. Some
functions remain active until the
driver’s door is opened.
Emergency shut off during driving:
Press the Engine Start/Stop button
for longer than two seconds or press
twice briey within ve seconds
Steering wheel lock
The steering wheel lock activates
automatically when:
• the vehicle is stationary,
• the ignition has been switched
off, and
• the driver’s door is opened.
To release steering wheel lock:
• Open and close driver’s door and
switch on accessory mode or
start the engine directly.
Warning
If the vehicle battery is
discharged, the vehicle must not
be at-towed or push started as
the steering wheel lock cannot be
disengaged.
Starting the engine
Vehicles with ignition switch
1. Apply the park brake rmly.
2. Turn the key to position 1 while
moving the steering wheel
slightly to release the lock.
Manual transmission: Push the
clutch pedal to the oor and
move the shift lever to the
neutral position.
Automatic transmission: Move
the shift lever to P or N.
Do not operate the accelerator
pedal.
