13. Appendix
13.1 Firmware update
13.1.1 Programming the memory card
A micro SD memory card (max. 16 GB) is required for importing new firmware into the TouchScreen
ControlPanel.
- Download the firmware file from the download area of our homepage, unzip it and copy it into the
root directory of the memory card.
There should be no other files in the root directory of the memory card. Observe theImportant:
installation instructions manual of the control panel.
13.1.2 Perform firmware update
1. Release the TouchScreen ControlPanel from the back case until the tamper contact on the rear of
the device is triggered (tamper alarm). Switch off the operating voltage.
2. If there is already a memory card in the slot, unlock it by pressing lightly and
remove it.
3. Insert the memory card with the new firmware with the contacts in direction as
shown at graphic. Insert the card until you hear a click.
4. ,Switching on the operating voltage when the tamper contact is open
meaning when the TouchCenter PanelControl is removed
from the back case. When doing this causes an additional
button in the Setup menue.
- Apply operating voltage.
- Wait until the TouchScreen ControlPanel initializes.
- Touch the display, select .Menue Setup

Select the button .Switch offAutostart for updateè
The keypad then performs a reset and accesses the firmware data on the
memory card.
5. The update process runs automatically. Duration several minutes
6. The TouchScreen Controlpanel starts with the new firmware and initializes itself on the BUS-2. The
process may take several minutes. Then remove the memory card.
7. Mount the TouchScreen ControlPanel to the back cover, the cover contact must be closed again.
The successful installation of the new firmware version can be checked in the menu

8. Delete the tamper message at the control panel.
