PW-6000 Installation
Product Overview
1.11 Recommended testing and maintenance.
Perform the following on a semi-annual basis. Disconnect power from the enclosure,
open the enclosure door and inspect the system including the DC battery. Replace the
DC battery if it shows any sign of corrosion or leakage or if the battery is 2 years old
or older. Oil the lock cylinder. Close the panel and re-apply power.
2 Product Overview
The Intelligent Controller is the heart of the PW-6000 and provides the real time
processing for the connected I/O interfaces.
The PW-6000 is designed to operate without the need for a PC. It can be connected to
a Pro-Watch host computer using direct serial communication, dial-up modem, or
TCP/IP network connection. The PW-6000 holds the database for the subsystem
configuration and card holders, and the event log buffer, which is in battery-backed
memory.
Notes:
Please refer to the Pro-Watch Software Suite Guide for details on using the
Pro-Watch interface.
The optional Lantronix Cobox-Micro interface daughter board and dial-up
modem have not been tested to comply with UL 294 and cannot be used on UL
294 approved installations.
