Audio board
NOTE: The audio board spare part kit does not include an audio board cable. The audio board
cable is included in the Cable Kit, spare part number 693306-001.

Before removing the audio board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the battery (see
Battery on page 56), and then remove the following components:
a. Service cover (see
Service cover on page 58)
b. Hard drive (see
Hard drive on page 59)
c. WLAN module (see
WLAN module on page 62)
d. WWAN module (see
WWAN module on page 64)
e. Keyboard (see
Keyboard on page 69)
f.
Base enclosure (see
Base enclosure on page 76)
Remove the audio board:
1. Turn the base enclosure right side up, with the front toward you.
2. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.7 screw (1) that secures the audio board to the base enclosure.
3. Lift the right side of the audio board (2) until it rests at an angle.
