Removing the Fan
(HP Authorized Service Providers Only)
Required Equipment
• Small Phillips screwdriver.
Removal Procedure
1. Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery.
2. Turn the computer bottom side up.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw holding the fan.
4. Slide the fan assembly forward, and lift it out by the rear edge.
5. Carefully unplug the cable connector.
