Before removing the keyboard, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel on page 25), and then remove the following components:
a. Webcam (see Webcam on page 36)
b. Leather cover (see Leather cover on page 41)
c. Speaker assembly (see Speaker assembly on page 46)
Remove the keyboard:
1. Disconnect the display panel cable (1) from the system board.
2. Disconnect the transfer board cable (2) from the system board.
3. Remove the four Phillips M2.5×3.4 broad head screws (3) that secure the display hinges to the keyboard.
