Lower frame

Lower frame (includes retention band with adhesive and magnets) L43335-001

Before removing the lower frame, follow these steps:

1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is o or in Hibernation, turn

the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

3. Disconnect the power from the computer by rst unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then

unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

4. Remove the display panel (see Display panel on page 25), and then remove the following components:

a. Webcam (see Webcam on page 36)

b. Leather cover (see Leather cover on page 41)

c. Speaker assembly (see Speaker assembly on page 46)

d. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 49)

Remove the lower frame:

1. Swing the bottom edge (1) of the lower frame up and forward until it disengages from the display

back cover.

2. Detach the left and right edges of the retention band (2) that secures the lower frame to the display back

cover. (The retention band is attached to the lower frame with adhesive.)

3. Remove the lower frame (3).
