Preparing for Installation
The sections below describe the preparations required for installing Business Continuity Manager.
There are two ways to install Business Continuity Manager.
• Using SMP/E standard commands (RECEIVE, APPLY, and ACCEPT) for installation
• Installation without using SMP/E (simple installation)

Types of distribution media
Business Continuity Manager is available through both of the following distribution media:
• Tape
• CD-ROM
In tape-based distribution, the standard label format is used. The volume serial number is HPQYK.
Provided datasets
Table 5 (page 15) lists the datasets that are provided on the SMP/E installation tape. Table 6 (page
16) lists the files that are provided on the installation CD-ROM.
