1. Run Library and Tape Tools Device Analysis test

2. Check driver is correct and installed

3. If Windows NT4 - check driver location in the operating system

4. If Windows NT4 - check SCSI connectivity
.
5. If Windows NT4 - check tape device detected by operating system
.
6. If Windows NT4 - check if native driver is loaded
.
7. If Windows 2000 - check driver location in the operating system
.
8. If Windows 2000 - check if there is a plug and play issue
.
9. If Windows 2000 - check for driver issues
.
10. If Windows 2000 - check removable storage manager
.
