Allow up to five minutes for the drive to become ready
again.

Check for conflicts in backup software services

RSM (removable storage manager) should be
disabled for ISV software.
RSM (removable storage manager) should be
enabled for native backup applet.
Removable storage manager can be found in
Computer Management/Services in Windows 2000
and must only be used if the native backup applet is
being used. To check if in use please check Services
and see if it is started.
