7. Remove the access panel .
8. Remove the system air baffle.
9. Disconnect the front I/O cables from the system board .
10. Remove the optical drive cage:
a. Remove the optical drive cage screws.
b. Slide the optical drive cage out of the server.
11. Remove the optical drive blank:
a. Use a plastic spudger to pry one side of the blank.
b. Remove the optical drive blank from the optical drive cage.
