Setting a device passcode
You can set a device passcode to protect your headset from unauthorized access. Your headset
prompts you to enter the passcode when you do one of the following:
§ Restart the headset.
§ Turn on the headset when the power is off.
§ Put the headset back on and wake it up from sleep mode.
Here's how to set your device passcode:
1. From Home, select Settings.
2. Select Advanced.
3. Select Security settings.
4. Select Set next to Device lock and enter a four to eight-digit passcode.
5. Enter the passcode again to confirm it.
Installing system and firmware updates
Keep your headset's system and firmware up-to-date with the latest features or enhancements.
The headset will periodically check for updates on its own. A yellow indicator will appear in the
General category in Settings when there's an available update. If you don't see the indicator, you
can also check for updates manually.
1. From Home, select Settings.
2. Select General.
3. Under System update, select Update to install an update, or select Check now to check
for updates manually.
System updates will require you to restart your headset.
