Step 9 Install the RAID controller card.
1. Insert the RAID controller card vertically into the connector on the mainboard. See (1) in
Figure 5-4.
2. Tighten the screws to secure the RAID controller card. See (2) in Figure 5-4.

Step 10 Check whether a supercapacitor is configured.
l If yes, go to Step 11.
l If no, go to Step 12.
Step 11 Install the supercapacitor.

Step 12 Check whether a PCIe card is installed.
l If yes, go to Step 13.
l If no, go to Step 14.
Step 13 Install the PCIe card.

Step 15 Install the compute node.

Step 16 Power on the compute node.

Step 17 Configure the RAID controller card.
The following uses the LSI SAS3008IR RAID controller card as an example.
1. Log in to the Configuration Utility.
