11.7 Why can't I access the Internet or use mobile data
services?
I. Insert a SIM card and turn on your phone.
1. SIM card problems: check that you are using a standard SIM card. New SIM cards or SIM
cards cut by hand may not work properly. Insert your SIM card into another phone. If you still
can't access the Internet, go to your carrier's local branch for a replacement SIM card.
2. Tariff problems: check that you have sufficient credit and/or data allowance on your SIM
card.
3. If you have a dual-SIM phone, check that you have enabled mobile data for the SIM card in
question (an up-down arrow will appear next to the SIM card's signal bar once you have
enabled mobile data). You can enable mobile data for the SIM card by going to Settings >
SIM Card Management.
4. Disable and then re-enable mobile data.
II Other solutions
1. Check whether the mobile data switch is turned on. You can find the mobile data switch in
the drop-down menu.
2. If 4G services have not been activated for the SIM card, disable 4G in order to prevent
signal interference.
3. Go to Mobile network settings > Access Point Names and then change IPv4/IPv6 to
IPv4 before rebooting your phone.
4. Reset the access point. Go to Settings > Wireless and Networks > More > Mobile
Networks > Access Point Names and then update the settings.
11.8 Why does my phone have no signal after I take it out
from my pocket and become normal after I restart it?
The phones using cut cards may encounter this problem. You are suggested to use a standard
SIM card.
11.9 Why can't I access 4G when using a 4G SIM card?
1. Go to Settings > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names and touch the menu button to
reset the settings to default values.
2. Check whether mobile data and 4G are enabled.
3. In order to access 4G, you also need to activate 4G services with your carrier, in addition to
purchasing a phone that supports 4G networks.
4. Check that your phone's 4G version is compatible with your SIM card.
