" Allen wrench into the access hole in the end
cap of the shade (about a ½").
CAUTION: When pressing the Allen wrench into the end,
you are compressing a spring and freeing it from a gear.
Before compressing the spring, be sure the Allen
wrench is fully engaged. Test by gently turning the
Allen wrench; it should not turn.
When releasing the spring, be sure you can feel
the mechanism lock back into the gear to avoid
unwinding the spring. If the spring unwinds, tension will need to be added
back. Therefore, it will likely take multiple turns to get the desired tension.
See “Adding Spring Tension” on page 13.
Using ½ turn increments, rotate Allen wrench clockwise to reduce
tension. Test and repeat, if necessary.
Problem An opaque fabric panel is wrinkled, creased or is rippling.
Solution
Apply heat for 30 seconds with a hair dryer 6” away from the shade to release
the creases, wrinkles or ripples in the fabric.
