Separatethe crankcasehalvesby careful useof a
plastic hammer. Remove the sealingring on the
magnetoside.
Removethe ball bearingsfrom the crankshaft
with a specialball bearingpuller.

Fit a new ball bearing on the magneto side of the
crankshaft. Use fitting drift No.
5025082-01.

A defective crankshaft must be replaced.
Check the big end of the connecting rod. Should
there be seizuremarks or discolored spotson the
sides,the crankshaft must be changed.The connect-
ing rod should not show any radial play (up and
down).

Warm up the bearingseat in the magneto half of
the crankcaseto abt 13@ C.
Fit the crankshaft
with ball bearing in the crankcase half.
