5 – Preventive maintenance
Preventive maintenance
15. Fill the tank with hydraulic fluid until the fluid is at the top mark on the sight gauge.
16. Install a new filler-breather cap.
17 . Discard the used parts.
18. Turn
ON the pump in cooling mode. Let it operate for 15 to 20 minutes.
19. Monitor for leaks.
20. Add hydraulic fluid, if necessary. Do the procedure again, if necessary.
21. Operate the pump in pierce-pressure mode for 15 to 20 minutes.
If air is in the hydraulic system, the pump can be noisy during operation. Refer to The pump makes noise
during operation on page 174.
