2.11 Hytera DMR Application Protocol
Hytera digital radio provides application interfaces for secondary development for
third party partners besides its original functions. Hytera DMR Application Protocol
(HDAP) is the general term of a series of application-layer protocols; it contains
Radio Registration Service (RRS), Location Protocol (LP), Text Message Protocol
(TMP), Radio Control Protocol (RCP), Telemetry Protocol (TP), and Data Transmit
Protocol (DTP).
This protocol is designed to support voice, signalling and data communication on a
point-to-point connection between distinct networks. HDAP Application (which is
usually deployed in a PC) connects to the Dispatcher Station, which can be Mobile
or Repeater, voice, signaling and data message are transmitted via IP network
between application and Dispatcher Station, and through radio network between
Dispatcher Station and DMR radios.
Hytera currently mainly provides DMR application applications as below:
Hytera Radio Registration Service
Hytera Location Service
Hytera Radio Control Service
Hytera Text Message Service
Hytera Data Transmission Service
Hytera Telemetry Service
Hytera Real-time Transport Service (Only for Repeater)
These DMR applications are enough to meet general applications. For better using
Hytera digital radio, we have extended platform of PC interface based on DMR
application applications which enables you to use and control the radio over the
extended platform. You can connect Hytera radio system by this interface which
provides more powerful application system. These DMR applications are achieved
through the TCP/IP protocol, which bring flexible system networking.
