D Alkaline batteries installation
Install 6 AA (LR6) size alkaline batteries as described below.
q Release the latch, and open the cover.
Latch
CAUTION:
NEVER use your finger nail when releasing the latch.
Because the latch is tightly locked— you could damage
your finger nail. Instead, use something relatively flat, like
the edge of a coin or the tip of a screwdriver, to carefully
release the latch.
w Install 6 AA (LR6) size alkaline batteries.
• Install only conventional alkaline batteries.
• Be sure to observe the correct polarity.
e Attach the cover, then close. Lock the latch until it makes
a ‘click’ sound.
CAUTION:
• When installing batteries, make sure they are all the
same brand, type and capacity. Also, do not mix new
and old batteries together.
• Keep battery contacts clean. It’s a good idea to occasion-
ally clean the battery terminals.
