■ Scan types
A scan automatically searches for signals, and makes it easier
to locate new stations for contact or listening purposes.
■ Channel Scan
A channel scan repeatedly scans the operating channels,
except those set as the skip channels.
q Push [FUNC](M), then [SCAN](5) to start the scan.
• To change the scan direction while scanning, push [] or [].
w To cancel the scan, push any key except [ ], []/[],
[FUNC], [
] or [MONI].
■ Setting skip channels
In order to speed up the scan rate, you can skip the chan-
nels you don’t want to scan.
q Select a channel to be skipped.
➥ Push [] or [] to select a channel.
w Push [FUNC](M), and then [SKIP](6) to turn the skip set-
ting ON or OFF.
•
“SKIP” appears when the channel is set as a skip channel.
