Appendix A: Loading
Images with TFTP Server
An alternate method of downloading the images to the Satellite Router is to use the TFTP
server that comes bundled with iSite.
Note: This appendix is not applicable to Evolution X1, X7, or e150 Satellite Routers.
1. Open iSite and select TFTP fr
om the File menu.
2. Select the TFTP serv
er local folder in the pop-up window. Browse and select the folder in
which the remote package resides.
3. Telnet to the Satellite Router or open a console session using the procedure “Connecting
to the Console P
ort” on page17.
4. Log in as root.
5. Enter service idirect_falcon sto
p. This will stop the iDirect application.
6. Enter tftp_package.sh <IP addres
s of TFTP server> <package name>.
For example, if your laptop’s IP address is 10.10.1.2 and you are loading 9.0.0.4 remote
package
the command will be tftp_package.sh 10.10.1.2 remote 9_0_0_4.pkg.
7. Once the transfer is com
plete, reset the remote using the reboot command.
