10. Kiosk V Low-Level Commands
The following are commonly used commands for the Kiosk V. For a full list of available commands,
contact your ID TECH representative for the NEO 2 Interface Developer’s Guide.
10.1. Activate Transaction Command (02-40)
The Activate Transaction command begins a contactless EMV or contactless MagStripe Card
transaction.
Note: While an Activate command is in progress, readers only accepts a Cancel or Stop command.
Do not send other commands until Activate Transaction has completed, because the reader will
interpret these as a Cancel Transaction command.

Timeout

Time in seconds that the reader waits for a card to be presented
before timing out and returning an Error response. The reader will
continue to poll for this amount of time if no card is found.
Note that if a card is found, the transaction may not complete
within the timeout period.
This field must be present in the Activate command.
