Why is steam leaking from the side of my Instant Kitchen Appliances lid?
    • K
      Katelyn SimmonsAug 25, 2025
Steam leaking from the side of the Instant Kitchen Appliances lid can occur for several reasons. Make sure there is a sealing ring in the lid. If there is one, it may be damaged or improperly installed, in which case you should replace it. Food debris attached to the sealing ring can also cause leaks; remove the sealing ring and clean it thoroughly. Ensure the lid is closed properly. If the sealing ring rack is warped or off-center, remove the sealing ring and check the rack for bends or warps, and contact Consumer Care. A misshapen cooking pot rim can also cause this issue; check for deformation and contact Consumer Care.

If steam gushes from the steam release vent when the Steam Release switch is in the Seal position on your Instant Kitchen Appliances, it could be due to not enough liquid in the cooking pot. Add thin, water-based liquid to the cooking pot: 1 1/2 cups (12 oz / 375 mL). Also, it could be a pressure sensor control failure. In this case contact Consumer Care.

What to do if the Instant POT PRO PLUS lid is difficult to open?
    • C
      Christian ArnoldSep 16, 2025
If you're having trouble opening the lid, it could be due to a few reasons: * The contents may be under pressure. To avoid scalding injury, DO NOT attempt to force the lid open. * There is pressure inside the multicooker. Release pressure according to recipe. Only open the lid after the pressure indicator is off. * The float valve is stuck due to food debris or residue around the float valve. Make sure steam is completely released by quick releasing pressure. Open the lid cautiously, then thoroughly clean the float valve, surrounding area and lid before next use.

Why is my Instant Kitchen Appliances making clicking or cracking sounds?
    • X
      xlloydSep 14, 2025
Occasional clicking or light cracking sounds from your Instant Kitchen Appliances are usually normal. This can be the sound of power switching and the expanding pressure board when changing temperatures, in which case no action is needed. Another possible cause is the bottom of the cooking pot being wet. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the cooking pot and ensure the heating element is dry before inserting the cooking pot into the multi-cooker base.

Why can't my Instant Electric Pressure Cooker build pressure?
    • D
      Derek PhillipsSep 4, 2025
If your Instant Electric Pressure Cooker isn't building pressure, it could be due to food debris on the float valve or its silicone cap. Also, there might not be enough liquid in the inner pot, or the float valve silicone cap could be damaged or missing. The float valve might also be obstructed by the lid-locking mechanism, or there could be no heat in the inner pot. In addition, the inner pot base may be damaged. If there is too little liquid, add thin, water-based liquid to the inner pot according to its size. For other issues, contact Customer Care.

If you're finding it hard to close the lid of your Instant Electric Pressure Cooker, there are a few things you can check.
