1. Attach the lifting sling to the crosshead and secure it to the crane hook such that the
sling extends vertically from the FRONT of the crosshead as shown in Figure 12 on
page 61. If you use chains in lieu of a lifting sling, wrap protective material around
the crosshead to protect the crosshead from scratching and marring.
