1. Feature Summary
This Technical Product Specification provides detailed information about the hardware
components of the Intel
®
Storage System SSR212MA. Please refer to the Intel® Storage
System Software Manual for complete feature, configuration and operation details of the Intel
®
Storage System SSR212MA Storage Area Network (SAN) Management Software that is
shipped with each Storage System.
The Intel
®
Storage System SSR212MA includes a 2U chassis, Intel
®
Server Board SE7520JR2
with a single Intel® Xeon® processor, an Intel® Management Module (IMM), twelve Serial ATA
hard disk drive carriers, two Intel® RAID Controller SRCS28X’s, a single internal Disk On
Module (DOM) boot device, dual Intel® PRO/1000 Network connections, and a single 500 W
power supply (dual redundant 1+1 capable). Intel®-based system boards and chassis have
feature sets designed to support the high-density storage market.
The Intel
®
Server Board SE7520JR2 that is installed in the Storage System SSR212MA chassis
is a monolithic printed circuit board with features that were designed to support the storage
system market. The architecture is based on the Intel
®
E7520 chipset and supports Intel
®
Xeon® processors.
