Arming and Disarming the System
Arming the system activates the sensors and causes the panel to generate an alarm
when a door or window is opened or when someone enters a protected area. Arm the
system to secure the premises while no one is home or while still occupying the
premises. Disarming the system deactivates the sensors. The AdvisorOne panel
announces changes in arming level on the speaker. Arming levels are shown in Table
12.
Table 12: Arming Levels
Level
Description
ARM
STAY
Use ARM STAY when someone is remaining inside the building. Only perimeter
sensors are monitored. Interior motion detectors are ignored.
ARM
AWAY
Use ARM AWAY when everyone is leaving the building. All sensors are monitored.
ARM
NIGHT
If available, use ARM NIGHT to monitor certain areas and ignore sensors in other
areas. For example, choosing to not monitor a basement area during the night.
Note: This less-frequently-used option may not be installed on your system.
Arming the System
1. Press the Arm button on the Main screen (Figure 17).
2. Enter a user PIN access code.
