2 PX4i and PX6i High Performance Printer User’s Manual
Learning About the Printers
The PX4i and PX6i High Performance printers are rugged,
high-volume, thermal transfer printers. With sturdy, all-metal
construction, these printers are designed to excel at 24/7 printing in
harsh industrial environments and easily adapt to changes in host
environments or applications.
The PX4i and PX6i support a maximum print width of four or six
inches, respectively. Throughout this manual, both models of the
printer are referred to as “printer” unless otherwise noted.
Whats New?
This version of the PX4i and PX6i High Performance Printer User’s
Guide includes information to support these additional features:
The ability to choose between these printer command languages
has been added: IPL, Fingerprint, Direct Protocol, DSim, and
ZSim.
Ethernet communications is standard.
USB host support for a mass storage device for booting the printer
and downloading fonts.
The keypad has been updated.
IPv6 functionality has been added.
The printers now support multiple network interfaces and
multiple NET connections.
An 802.11b/g radio option is available.
The PX4i and PX6i High Performance Printers with an 802.11b/g
radio installed are Wi-Fi® certified for interoperability with other
802.11b/g wireless LAN devices.
