Remote Display
The iScan 180 can operate with two displays: one being
designated as the Master (#1) and the other as the Remote
(#2). The transducer cables connect to theAuto Switch
Module which connects to the Master (#1) unit. The
Remote (#2) is connected to the Auto Switch Module Via
the Remote Display and Remote Control Cables.
The iScan 180 Display will operate as a stand-alone unit, a
Remote or Master unit in a two display installation.
The iScan 180 Remote Station Kit includes A 9-pin 30’
Remote Display Cable that carries the sonar information
from the ASM to the display, and a 4-pin 30’ Remote
Control Cable that allows the Display to communicate with
the ASM. Detailed connections are shown at left.
Once connected, you will need to go into the SETUP menu
of each unit and set the Master Unit up as MASTER (#1)
and the Remote Unit as the REMOTE (#2) unit. See page
16 for details.
In a two-station system, the Master (#1) must always be
turned on. Then, if the Remote PWR button is pressed, the
Master (#1) display will go into a standby mode while the
Remote (#2) is being used. To re-activate the Master (#1)
station, the Master Display PWR button needs to be briefly
pressed (pressing for more than a few seconds will turn the
Master off).
Note: When the PWR button on the Master (#1) is selected
the Remote (#2) will turn off. When the Remote (#2) PWR
button is pressed the Master (#1) will display the message:
Remote In Use Press PWR To Switch.
If the Master (#1) is turned off, for any reason, both
displays will not function.
