4.1.1LowHeights

Dependingontheconguration,thefreespace
betweenmovingandxedpartsofthebedcan
becomeverysmallwhenthebedislowered.
–Ensureyourfeetarenotnearorundermoving
partswhenloweringthebed.
–Ensurecablesareroutedproperlyandcannot
getsqueezedwhenloweringthebed.

Dependingontheconguration,theminimum
workingheightofthebedisverylow.
Usinganimproper/incorrectposturewhile
workingatlowworkingheightscanleadto
injuriesforthecarer.

4.1.2Mattressretainers

Withoutproperlyinstalledmattressretainers,the
mattresscanslipsidewaysandcausetheuserto
falloutofthebed.
–Neverusethebedwithoutmattressretainers.
–Alwaysmakesurethemattressretainersare
properlyinstalledandfacingupwards.
–Onlyusetheoriginalmattressretainers.

Thehandcontrolcanbeequippedwitheitherthreeorfour
buttonstooperatetheelectricalfunctionsofthebed.The
handcontrolcanalsobeequippedwithalockingfunction.

Heightadjustment

Tiltfunction

Tiltingwithheadenddowncanhavefataleffect
onuserswhoaresensitiveforincreasedblood
pressureintheupperpartofthebody.
–Onlymedicallytrainedpersonsmustoperate
thetiltfunction.
–Alwaysperformamedicalevaluation,before
tiltingthebedwiththeuser’slowerextremities
positionedhigherthantheheart.
–ThetiltfunctionisNOTaTrendelenburger
functionandmustnotbeusedformedical
treatment.

has,theycanallbelockedindividually.
