The pressure value in daPa registering at the tympanogram peak;
Grad.
The gradient of the tympanogram, specified in daPa, represents the width of
the tympanogram curve at 50% of the compliance value.
If the test has not been able to determine one or more of the above values, a
double dash "--" will appear in place of the number.
Once the test is under way, the instrument raises the pressure in the ear
canal to the established maximum positive value, whereupon the recording
of the tympanogram will commence and continue until the pressure drops to
the minimum value.
1000 HZ TYMPANOMETRY
To conduct a test with 1000 Hz probe tone, in the case of Timpani
appliances with a 1000 Hz tympanometry license, the user must select the
relative button on the tympanometry screen.
The graphic interface is almost identical to that of the 226 Hz
tympanometry test window. The only difference is in the unit of measure
used to indicate compliance, namely mmho.
