Numeric View
The step parameters are presented numerically for precise editing. MIDI tracks parameters are
always presented numerically. Some parameters can only be edited numerically, such as gate
length.
Edit Step Parameters Keys
These keys are common to Edit Step Parameters graphical and numeric views.
F1/F3: Go to the previous/next event in the pattern.
F4/F6: Go to the previous/next event in the pattern for the current track.
The go to F-keys perform the same function as exiting step edit, scrolling forward or backward,
then pressing Enter to edit the newly selected step.
Pad: Go to the next event for that pad, which could be on the same step, or a different one.
Bank: Go to the next event for that bank, after which pads for that bank may be pressed.
Mute/Solo: In TR mode, go to the parameters for the step, if there is an event there.
Back: Exit the edit step parms screen, saving any changes.
Copy+Back: Undo parameter changes.
Copy+Enter: Save parameter changes to the pattern (in memory, not on the SD card). Changes
are saved automatically on exit or a go to function.
Nudge
An event can be nudged forward or backward in the pattern. Nudged events retain all of their
parameter values. Select the nudge icon
to display the nudge screen. The nudge amount
expressed in bars
+
sixteenths
+
ticks. There are 24 ticks per sixteenth note.
Nudges are saved in the pattern immediately. To undo a nudge, set the nudge amount back to
zero, and re-nudge.
F4/F6: Go to the previous/next event in the pattern for the current track, while staying on the
nudge screen.
Back: Exit the nudge screen back to the edit step parameters screen.
