Functions and Features
The procedures to set the menu item are as follows.
1. Press [Shift]+[Save] (System) to enter into the system menu interface.
2. Use left and right keys or rotate the knob to select Bleeder and press
[Enter] key to make the parameter in modification.
3. Rotate the knob to select Off or On and press [Enter] key to confirm.
4.2.8 Output Inhibit Control
The IT-M3140 series power supply rear panel provides an output Inhibit inter-
face Inhibit±, which can disable the power output to prevent the power supply
from being operated incorrectly during the test and causing damage to the DUT.
Off: Disables the Inhibit Port function.
Living mode. When the external Inhibit± control terminals input is in the
False state, the output is controlled by the [On/Off] key on the front panel;
when the external Inhibit± control terminals input is in the True state, the out-
put is turned off, and the output [On/Off] key is invalid at this time .
Nomal: When Inhibit+ and Inhibit– are short-circuited, the Inhibit± control
port input is in the True state, and if it is not short-circuited, it is in the
False state.
Inverted: When Inhibit+ and Inhibit– are short-circuited, the Inhibit± con-
trol port input is in the False state, and if it is not short-circuited, it is in the
True state.
Latch mode. When the external Inhibit± control terminals detects the level
change from False to True, the power output will be turned off. To release
the latched state, you must first set the external Inhibit± control port to the
False state, and send a command (OUTPut:PROTection:CLEar) to clear the
corresponding INH status bit.
Nomal: When Inhibit+ and Inhibit– are short-circuited, the Inhibit± control
port input is in the True state, and if it is not short-circuited, it is in the
False state.
Inverted: When Inhibit+ and Inhibit– are short-circuited, the Inhibit± con-
trol port input is in the False state, and if it is not short-circuited, it is in the
True state.
The figure below shows the short connection between the Inhibit± interfaces.
