  If your ITT Water Pump isn't producing the rated flow or head, there are several potential causes. Begin by checking for air leaks in the gasket or O-ring and replace them if necessary. Inspect the stuffing box for air leaks and replace or readjust the mechanical seal. Back-flush the pump to clean a partly clogged impeller. Adjust the impeller clearance if it's excessive. Ensure the suction head is sufficient by fully opening the suction-line shutoff valve and clearing any obstructions. Finally, examine the impeller for wear or damage and replace if needed.
