7.6 Replacing the press plunger
The press plunger may be replaced if required. In order to facilitate replacing the press plunger, the following procedure
must be followed.
Step 1:
Remove the attachment screw.
Remove the screw (C) while the furnace head is closed.
Step 2:
Remove the press drive cover.
First firmly push the cover to the back (arrow 1) and then remove it
by lifting it (arrow 2).
Step 3:
Loosen the press plunger.
Unscrew the clamping screw of the press plunger (64) by turning it
approx. one half turn.
