8.5 HYDRAULIC SYSTEM __________________________________________________
Change The Hydraulic Oil
1. Remove the drain plug from the bottom of Hydraulic
tank and clean the plug with a cloth (A(Fig.4).
2. Allow the tank to drain and replace the plug.
3. Fill the tank with approximately 38 litres of SAE 10W-
30 Oil through one of the brass plugs (B(Fig.5).
4. Fill the Hydraulic tank with oil to half way up the view
tube. (A(Fig.5)).
IMPORTANT
If you open the closed hydraulic transmission circuit, you
need to fill the circuit with oil before the circuit is used again.
When you fill the hydraulic tank, the oil must be clean. The
hydraulic oil must go through a 25micron filter before the oil
enters the tank.
Change The Hydraulic Oil Filter (A)(Fig.6)
1. Clean the filter canister and housing to remove any
dirt.
2. Put a drip tray under the filter.
3. Remove the filter and discard safely.
4. Replace with a new filter canister.
5. Apply a thin layer of oil to the top outside lip of the
filter canister. Fill the filter with clean hydraulic fluid
and fit the filter canister back into the original
position.
6. The filter must be replaced before the hydraulic tank
is filled again.
CAUTION
The Hydraulic Oil Can Damage Your Skin. Use
Gloves When You Use Hydraulic Oil. If Hydraulic
Oil Touches Your Skin, Clean The Area
Immediately.
CAUTION
Discard Used Hydraulic Oil
As Shown In Local Safety Regulations.
