OPERATION AND ADJUSTMENTS
ARBUS 400
Spray calibration
Noozle ow:
GPM = GPA x MPH X S
495
GPA = GPM x 495
MPH x S
GPA = 13 x 495
2.5 x 22.96
GPA = 6435
57.4
GPA = 112.10
Calculating the spraying volume through formula
The calibration of sprayers can be ob-
tained through calculations obtained
according to formula below.
The spraying volumes can be obtained
according to the following:
Example:
Noozles flow rate = 13 gpm at 200 psi (22 x
JA-4 nozzles)
Row spacing = 16.40 x 22.96 ft
Working speed = 2.5 mph
Plants per acre = 115 plants
Spray volume per plant::
112.10 = 0.97 gallons/plants
115
ATTENTION!
The values indicated on the example above are for illustration purposes. The cor-
rect adjustment should be done according to the recommendations of a trusted
technician.
Spraying volume:
GPA = GPM x 495
MPH x S
With:
Q - Spray volume (L/ha)
q - Total ow of noozles (L/min)
f – Treated band (meters)
v – Speed of tractor in km/h
600 – Unit conversion factor
