Detailed Error Messages
The error messages generated by the SWS software are listed in Table 26, with actions to take
when the messages appear.

Save the data and files
created. Reinstall the
software.
12 Not enough memory The memory is corrupted. Reboot the system.
28 No space left on device The disk or device is full. Delete unwanted files or try
a new device (if it is a floppy
diskette).
100 SCPI Command error
300 Device-specific error
310 System error
311 Memory error
360 Communication error
2001 Failed to save
Workspace file
The device is full. Free up space.
4010 OWB hardware error There is a hardware
problem in the receiver.
Check all electrical and
optical connections and try
again. If the error persists,
repair is indicated.
4020 No controller detected The ribbon cable from the
computer to the receiver
is loose.
Check the ribbon
connection and try again.
4030 No detector detected The ribbon cable from the
computer to the receiver
is loose.
Check the ribbon
connection and try again.
4040 OWB timeout A timeout occurred during
data collection.
Check all optical
connections. If the problem
persists, measure the
power of the signal going to
the input of the control
module. Check that the
SOM is operating.
