proper selection of required parameters. The software can operate in one of two modes:
insertion loss (IL) or polarization dependent loss (PDL). The user must select one of these. The
polarization mode must also be selected.
SWS User Interface Main Menu
When the program is executed, a window, similar to the one shown in Figure 53, is opened. The
top of the window displays the menu items (File, Mode, System, and Help) that are available for
controlling the execution of the SWS.
