Connecting
an
FM
Antenna
The
type
of
terminal
provided
for
connecting
an
FM
antenna
depends
on
pone
geographic
area.
Read
the
section
below
which
corresponds
to
your
area.
IMPORTANT!
Make
sure
the
antenna
conductors
do
not
touch
any
other
terminals
on
the
receiver.
This
could
cause
poor
reception.
You
have
two
options
for
connecting
an
FM
antenna.
Connect
the
included
wire
antenna
as
shown
in
option
@,
or
purchase
antenna
and
cable
with
connector
DIN
45332
and
attach
as
shown
in
option

Connect
the
antenna
cable
to
the
FM
75Q
COAXIAL
terminal
using
the
matching
transformer.
You
have
two
options
—-
a
300-ohm
feeder
cable,
or
a
75-ohm
coaxial
cable.
To
attach
the
matching
transformer
to
the
300-ohm
feeder
cable,
secure
the
two
conductors
to
the
screws
of
the
matching
transformer,
as
shown
at
the
left.

To
attach
the
matching
transformer
to
the
75-ohm
coaxial
cable,
follow
these
steps:
Step
1.
Remove
the
cover
of
the
matching
transformer
by
lifting
the
tabs
on
both
sides.
Step
2
Remove
the
jumper
wire
from
the
notch
in
the
center
of
the
fitting.
Step
3
Wind
the
wire
securely
around
the
plastic
pole
next
to
the
fitting.
Step
4
Insert
the
center
conductor
of
the
coaxial
cable
into
the
notch.
Step
5
Using
a
pair
of
pliers,
secure
the
fitting
in
the
center
of
the
matching
transformer
so
that
the
shield
braid
of
the
coaxial
cable
is
held
tightly
in
the
fitting.
Step
6
Snap
the
cover
back
onto
the
matching
transformer.
