Overview

The JVC UX-TB30 is a compact component system designed for audio playback, radio reception, and recording. It consists of three main units: the AX-UXTB30 amplifier, the XT-UXTB30 player/tuner, and SP-UXTB30 speakers. The system supports various media formats including Audio CD, MP3/WMA files on CD-R/CD-RW, and USB mass storage class devices. It also features an FM tuner with Radio Data System (RDS) capabilities.

Function Description:

  • Audio Playback: The system can play standard Audio CDs, as well as MP3 and WMA files burned onto CD-R or CD-RW discs. It also supports playback of MP3/WMA files from USB mass storage class devices like USB flash drives or Digital Audio Players (DAPs).
  • Radio Reception: The built-in FM tuner allows users to listen to FM radio stations. It includes Radio Data System (RDS) functionality, which displays station names (PS), program types (PTY), and text messages (RT) sent by broadcasting stations. The system can preset up to 20 FM stations.
  • Recording: Users can record audio from a CD directly onto a connected USB mass storage class device. The recorded files are converted to MP3 format at a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz and a bit rate of 128 kbps.
  • Sound Adjustments: The system offers volume control, Hyper Bass Sound (HBS) for enhanced bass, and four Sound Effect Amplifier (SEA) modes: JAZZ, POP, ROCK, and CLASSIC, to tailor the audio output to different music genres.
  • Timer Functions: A Daily Timer allows users to set specific on and off times for the system, enabling it to turn on to a selected source (CD, USB, or FM) and then turn off automatically. A Sleep Timer can also be set to automatically turn off the system after a specified duration (10 to 90 minutes).
  • Display and Controls: The system features a main display that shows various information such as track number, elapsed playing time, frequency, source name, and active modes (e.g., PROGRAM, REPEAT, RANDOM, USB, REC, SLEEP, HBS, STEREO, NEWS/INFO). Operations are primarily controlled via the supplied remote control, with corresponding buttons and controls also available on the center unit.
  • Child Lock: A "Child Lock" feature allows users to prohibit disc ejection, preventing accidental removal of discs.
