Locating faults and malfuctions
General work instructions
The troubleshooting system lists some faults that may occur in the
system. After each fault, there is a list of the possible causes of the
fault.
We recommend reading the functional descriptions of the system
and components in this manual after locating the fault and before
commencing any repairs.
Note during repairs that rectifying the faults may require more infor‐
mation than presented in this manual.
Do not hesitate to contact the machine dealer or the maintenance
staff at Cargotec, if you need further information on troubleshooting
or repairs.
The person doing the troubleshooting must be very familiar with the
operation of the machine and its main components. In order to be
able to locate any malfunctions in the steering and other systems,
the person must be able to read the machine circuit diagrams in a
professional manner.
Follow the troubleshooting sequence indicated in the maintenance
manual to ensure that the condition of the components and systems
is checked systematically and any malfunctions are located without
delay.
The functional descriptions and troubleshooting instructions of the
machine components can be found in Sections
1 Engine - 12 Com‐
mon pneumatics. The circuit diagrams can be found in the appendi‐
ces of this manual.
