Examine oil level
The engine oil dipstick (A) is located behind the cab and it is
attached to the guard rail next to the steps with the transmission oil
dipstick.
1 Examine the oil level when the engine has been stopped for
at least a few minutes.
The engine oil level is correct when the level is between the
MIN and MAX marks on the dipstick.
2 Clean the dipstick before the oil level examination.
3 If necessary, tilt the cab and add the recommended oil.
Change the engine oil
Drain
WARNING
Used engine oil may be carcinogenic and cause reproductive toxic‐
ity. Avoid inhalation of vapors, ingestion, and prolonged contact with
used engine oil. If not reused, dispose of in accordance with local
environmental regulations.
WARNING
To reduce the possibility of personal injury, avoid direct contact of
hot oil with your skin.
1 Operate the engine until the water temperature reaches 60°C
(140°F).
2 Turn OFF the engine.
3 Put a container below the oil drain hole.
4 Remove the oil drain plug. Drain the oil immediately to make
sure all the oil and contaminants are removed from the
engine.
