1 Examine the compressor housing for cracks and damage.
2 Examine the hydraulic pump couplings for cracks, wear, or
other damage, if equipped.
3 Examine the air plumbing for splits or cracks.
4 Examine the air compressor mounting nuts, including support
bracket, for loose or damaged hardware.

Mounting torque value 77Nm (57 ft-lb)
•
Bracket torque value 45Nm (33 ft-lb)
5 Operate the engine and examine for correct compressor oper‐
ation.
6 Examine for air, oil, and coolant leaks.
Examine air compressor discharge lines

Wear appropriate eye and face protection when using compressed
air.
1 Stop the engine.
2 Open the drain valve on the wet tank to release the system air
pressure
3 Remove the air compressor discharge line from the air com‐
pressor.
